Ishaan Lyngdoh Pakrasi
I am roboticist by training, I work as a Product Manager and I masquerade as an artist. Welcome to my website!
Work
I am a Data Product Manager at Bonterra where I am working to use data driven insights to help non-profit organizations provide better care to their participants.
Prior to this, I was a Product Manager at Ernst and Young where I lead engineering and analyst teams to deliver large scale analytics and automation projects across various clients and business functions.
Between 2017 and 2019, I worked on starting a company with my graduate school advisor. We were funded by the National Science Foundation’s Innovation-Corps incubator and our largest delivery was to the Microsoft Technology Center in Chicago.
Academia
I did my BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Go Illini!) where I worked on making dancing robots at the RAD Lab. Here's a TED Talk by my friend and collaborator about some of our work (You can spot me in the last 10 seconds with the robot that I programmed for the talk!). Here’s a list of my academic publications, including some ongoing work I am doing at the University of Chicago!
Art
I love to make art. Here's a video that outlines some of my art style, and a link to my Rarible.
I work as the Digital Experience Lead at the REVIVE Collective, a Chicago based art consultancy where I build digital experiences using augmented and virtual reality. Here’s a video to a recent event.
I previously co-created Time to Compile, an interactive art exhibit where visitors play a game of digital telephone with a combination of robots, virtual reality and augmented reality mediums.
